New Zealand, April 2026 \u2014<\/strong> The fourth edition of\u00a0Hubexo<\/a>\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0Construction League<\/a>\u00a0reveals the velocity of New Zealand\u2019s leading builders, ranking the top 50 firms by the total value of projects that\u00a0commenced\u00a0construction during 2025. Spanning the commercial, community, industrial,\u00a0legal\u00a0and military, and multi-residential sectors, our report provides a breakdown of activity, from total number of project commencements to average and total project values.\u00a0\u00a0

This year\u2019s top 50 builders\u00a0commenced\u00a0construction on 842 projects, comparable to last year\u2019s numbers with only a 5% year-on-year drop. The total values of those starts saw a slight lift to $8.7 billion, underscoring a market that continues to\u00a0prioritise\u00a0large-scale and high-quality development. The top 10 recorded 238 project commencements,\u00a0totalling\u00a0$4.7 billion in combined value. With only a marginal decrease in\u00a0totals\u00a0year-on-year, firms continue to focus on pipeline resilience in the face of significant market headwinds.\u00a0\u00a0

Reclaiming its position as number one builder, Naylor Love saw just over $1 billion in project commencements. The industry titan started 103 projects in 2025, setting a Construction League record.\u00a0\u00a0
